| Japanese Earthquake/Tsunami in Pictures Posted: 11 Mar 2011 01:49 PM PST At approximately 2pm local time on the island of Japan, a devastating natural disaster hit of which the likes has never been seen before in living history. An earthquake measuring 8.9 on the Richter scale triggered an unstoppable Tsunami off the North Eastern coast of the island, causing devastation in it's path. Livelihoods were crushed and Japan experienced a force of nature that many people had expected might someday come due to Japan's precipitous location at the epicentre of 5 tectonic plates. At the time of writing this solemn post, the island is still being hit with large aftershocks and from the bottom of my heart, my condolences go out to all those affected by this disaster.
