The 17" displays are definitely more for home use and you can place this laptop comfortably on your desk and watch some movies, manage your files and easily go through the everyday tasks.  You can choose from the memory you want inside and the operating system, which can either the 32-bit or 64-bit. If you choose the 32-bit, 3GB of RAM should be more than enough, so you don't have to spend extra money on the upgrade. Windows Vista does require more resources, but this amount is sufficient. Unfortunately, the reviews and user comments online about the Dell Studio lines are not that thrilling, but if you don't expect much and you care only about the looks, then you can find out more and order the one you like the most.   |

If you just check some prices out, and I am sure you have noticed that some of them feature a highly-expensive cost (usually more than $1000), it is understandable why these are not given out for free. In the best cases you get some samples for free from some food products or some drinking bottles, but the sum is merely low. You might have seen all the advertisers online and some websites offering free laptop computers. Banners are all around online, saying "You have won, enter here for your prize", or "here is your free Sony laptop" and so on. In most cases, they request for your personal information or they ask you to download some software, which in most cases turns out to be viruses and nothing pleasant for your computer.  Don't get fooled by all these and you can tell out from the graphics, designs of the websites that they are not reliable and by any means, they will not provide you with free laptop computers. Imagine that you are not the only users accessing their website and because there are millions of users going online, it would mean millions of laptops given away just like that. There is no one with such a big heart and you will not receive anything mentioned there. In the best case, you get free shipping, discounts and coupon codes for getting the system you want cheaper, but the 100% discount is yet to come and miles away. There are indeed some free laptop computers given away, but they are meant to reach the children in need in poorly developed countries. As you can see, things are not that easy when it comes to free laptop computers, but there are some alternatives you can think about and not lose hope. As newer technologies are developed, the old systems loose their value and thus will be offered to the market in smaller price tags.  |
