Indeed, there are free notebook pc's given, but in order to receive one, you have to be settled in a low developed area and. Students from there don't have the opportunity to buy notebook, because they resources are lacking, so the government and various funds are giving them away. But don't think they are super-high notebooks; actually they are not from any known manufacturer such as Dell, HP, Sony, Apple, Toshiba and so on. These notebooks are designed just to fulfill the basic tasks, don't even have a colored screen and the configuration is poor. But, we do appreciate the action of helping the poor children in these areas and those who do this deserve some credit.  But for the rest of us, that have an income and have access to technology, nobody will give a free notebook pc just like that. There are some competitions online, contests, which rewards the winner with a notebook computer or other gadgets. You can find about these online and you can take part. But be sure the website is not filled with viruses and you don't add your personal data in any unknown website. You always have to take care about this part, as there are some which take advantage and might even steal your identity. Believe it or not, these things happen and you should pay attention. The internet might be a blessing, as it opens new gates to us and makes everything easier, but there are some disadvantages as well, and this is one of them. So, watch out each time you are viewing one of these pop-up's, are required to add your personal data or even install something on your computer.
