Mass Effect 2 takes Best Game at BAFTA’s but Heavy Rain proves to be more than just a light drizzle

The 7th annual BAFTA Video Game Awards recently took place at the prestigious London Hilton and to nobody's surprise, Mass Effect 2 walked away with the best video game award. The hybrid RPG sci-fi shooter beat the likes of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Super Mario Galaxy 2 to take home the prestigious first place prize. That was not the biggest story of the night however, as Heavy Rain came in sweeping three awards for itself.


Superman reboot finally gets its leading lady

After a riveting performance in the Oscar nominated film The Fighter, versatile actress Amy Adams has been cast as Lois Lane in Zack Snyder's reboot of Superman: Man of Steel. Her claim to fame was an all singing and dancing role in Disney's Enchanted. Previous actresses who have played this iconic role on the big screen include Phyllis Coates, Margot Kidder and Kate Bosworth.


Homefront Review: Triple A Game? Think more Triple B Game

The year is 2027 and a Unified Korea has effectively invaded the US with seemingly little or no resistance. You play as, Robert Jacobs, a US helicopter pilot who has been recruited into a guerilla resistance force and with seemingly little hope of survival you fight against an overwhelming Korean army. That is the basic premise of Homefront and albeit altogether extremely unlikely (no European help?), it's a very good starting point for the game. Read on for the rest of the review.
